     Squad leaders time is not only an opportunity to gather and eat together, but also a chance to ensure that everyone is doing things correctly. 

     This is a great way to build camaraderie and foster a sense of belonging among the squad. It helps to create a strong bond between the members and encourages them to work together as a team. It also helps to build trust and respect among the members.

     The squad leaders are responsible for maintaining order and discipline within their squad, and regular check-ins are necessary to ensure that everyone is on the same page. Eating together provides a comfortable setting for squad leaders to monitor their squad's performance, address concerns, and provide constructive feedback.

     This time also allows squad leaders to identify any issues early on and take corrective action before they escalate into bigger problems. By catching mistakes early, squad leaders can help their squad members learn and grow, ensuring that they perform at their best and achieve their goals.

In addition to monitoring performance, squad leaders can also use this time to provide guidance and mentorship to their squad members. They can share their experiences, offer advice, and help their members develop the skills they need to succeed.

    It is associated to leadership principle no. six, know your people and look out for their welfare. by working together and overcoming challenges as a squad, the cadets learn to rely on each other and develop a strong sense of responsibility to one another. This not only strengthens their personal relationships but also prepares them for the future as they will need to work closely with their colleagues in the field. The trust and respect that is built within the squad can also have a lasting impact on their careers, as they will carry these values with them throughout their time in the police force.
