     Mother Teresa once said, "A good teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to light the way for others."

 

     Teaching the underclass the fundamentals of the cadetship program is one of the many responsibilities of being a third-class cadet. One of these is to watch over the plebes while they perform everyday tasks. It is incredibly gratifying since I come to many realizations after doing what my upper class does while I’m still a plebe. I learned the benefits of role-playing. Such experiences have strengthened me as a person. 

     Being responsible for the plebes' development allowed me to gain insights into my own growth. I was reminded of the tasks that I had performed when I was a plebe and how they had helped me in my development. Role-playing also allowed me to appreciate the benefits of the experiences I had undergone as a plebe.

     These experiences strengthened me as a person, and I was happy to be able to pass on that knowledge to the underclass. Teaching the underclass helped me appreciate the value of mentorship. It gave me an opportunity to impart knowledge and skills to the plebes, which could help them develop into better cadets.

     I was able to identify and understand their needs, strengths, and weaknesses and offer appropriate guidance. Seeing the progress they made was rewarding and motivating. It made me realize the importance of effective communication, trust, and respect in building a mentor-mentee relationship.

     As I helped the plebes, I also learned more about myself. I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses as a leader, communicator, and team player. Teaching the underclass allowed me to practice empathy and patience, skills that are essential in any leadership role. It also taught me how to be a good listener, a quality that is crucial in building relationships and helping others
