CHANGE STARTS IN ME

Updated: Feb 15, 2023

Change starts in me. Change can be scary sometimes. It can be stressful at some point, but change can also lead to great things in life. Change starts in me because I cannot influence other people to change if they do not see the change in me.

These photographs depict my initial step in accepting the challenge of being a cadet in order to inspire the youth; I cannot encourage them to follow if they do not see me doing the same. As they say, "walk your talk," which means you must first do it before asking others to do it. Be the change, begin with yourself, and you will gradually encourage others to change as well.

In my own experience, I can say that I changed a lot these past years because of what the academy taught me I became more disciplined, I became aware of my strength and abilities which I can now apply on a daily basis and I became more responsible which is something I never expected myself to be before. I am happy because I was able to change for the better and I was able to do things differently right now.

Change is not always easy, but it is necessary for growth and progress. As individuals, we must learn to embrace change and adapt to new situations. It requires courage and determination to step out of our comfort zones and challenge ourselves to be better. This mindset of constant improvement and willingness to change is what sets successful people apart from those who are stagnant.

Furthermore, It is not a one-time event but a continuous process. It is a journey, not a destination. We must commit ourselves to a lifetime of learning and self-improvement. As we strive to better ourselves, we can also inspire others to do the same. By setting an example and leading by action, we can create a positive ripple effect that can bring about meaningful change in our communities and beyond.
